About me

Reclaiming Joy and Freedom of Expression

Growing up in a small, busy home, I often longed for quiet and space - moments to connect with nature, to move freely, to twirl, play, sing, and simply be. These glimpses of joy and freedom became my anchors, even when the world around me felt full and demanding.

Hours were spent connecting with the natural world - noticing colours, textures, the changing quality of light, and the majesty of the night sky. I loved to play and dance, to take precious moments to move and express myself fully within my body, to move to music and rhythm, to sing, to laugh, to be in joy. These moments had to be carved out carefully, as I often felt I had to shrink to fit the needs of others. Growing up, I learned to be quieter, more still, to blend in. What I didn’t realise then was how much this had compromised my own voice, body, and energy.

I had always loved understanding how things work, drawn to science and observation rather than stories or imagination. It was later as a young adult that I opened to the subtler senses - to intuition, energy, and the unseen connections that shape our lives. I discovered connecting and learning in more than one way. I realised this had been there all along but my rational mind and love of science had been stronger. I had to feel things for myself first hand, to have a direct experience. Through travel, adventure, books, connections with lots of different people and new experiences, I remembered this innate intuitive quality, this deeper awareness and sensing that had always been there. I learnt to tune my senses, to open to, and trust, my inner knowing, my own wisdom, and to trust the flow of life itself. Challenges and hardships became teachers, guiding me to stillness and the deep sanctuary within.

At times I created a life with long periods of isolation, craving the silence and stillness both outside and within me. It turns out there is another way, I found that isolation was not the answer, but integrating the stillness and being in relationship and connection with others. That I could carry the stillness with me, I could discern the people and places with which I wanted to spend time and energy. My biggest learning for life was when the life journey was the most full and busy, when demands were at their highest. It became absolutely necessary to utilise the moments of space, the gaps in the chaos and to sink in as quickly as deeply as I could to the sanctuary and the spaciousness within me. I repeated this again and again and got very skilled at maximising these mini pauses that life offers. Through this I found my practices, my stillness and ultimately my work and life offering to the world.

Stillness isn’t even a breath away, it is right there ready to meet us when we pause to notice. Life is always supporting us when we sink into this holding. This provides moments to balance and find ourselves again; to return to harmony and the resonance that shows us the way. We know the best way, we feel it. We sense when something is off and when adjustment is needed. And with the vital ingredient of compassion, of true self love, knowing how much we matter in this world, we make powerful and positive choices and steps towards ourselves, towards sustaining connection and towards a life well lived. Honouring and embracing the magic and the beauty of simple everyday moments, we befriend and we flow with life as it is, no longer striving and reaching but arriving more and more fully in each moment and in each step, trusting this is the journey - this is the way.

And it turns out stories are invaluable. To experience through story is to be touched by the beauty, the pain, the journey and the experience and wisdom of others. To feel and sense into imagery, characters, myths and legends that reawaken something in us is like gold, it is alchemical. This is a piece of my story I share with you here and I look forward to witnessing and sharing in your story too if you choose.

My Life Now

I have created a life that honours both spaciousness and connection - a rhythm of stillness and engagement. My relationships are nourishing and real, and I turn and listen to the quiet guidance of my heart.

You’ll find me immersed in nature, communing and connecting deeply with the natural world and the elements, moving in conscious dance, or sharing food and meaningful conversation - allowing simple moments to be sacred. I’m regularly at the climbing wall, meeting challenge with curiosity and strengthening body, mind, and spirit.

This isn’t perfection. It’s a continual remembering - losing balance and flow and gently finding it again.

This is a life of freedom, connection and grounded joy.
A life of contentment, passion, and inspiration.
