What is Havening?
When I first experienced Havening Techniques® I realised how profound and quick change could be to reduce and dissolve heightened emotional memories, reframe and re-imagine adverse moments and return to peace in the present. A fast acting, effective therapy that uses simple self-applied touch to generate an inner state change. This allows de-linking of traumatic encoding in the part of the brain that is our warning and alarm system and heals and resolves past trauma. As we heal and change our perspective our outlook and whole life changes too.
Sometimes we can recall events quite clearly and other times memories aren’t conscious, which means patterns and behaviours can be present in daily life that we don't recognise, or understand. With gentle, compassionate questioning and guidance we can let go of the patterns, associated meaning and limitations and step more fully into the present moment, empowered and able to make clearer, conscious choices.
